Dreamweaver

Hi I am new to web design so my question may seem basic i have a web store which i would like change the look of and page layouts etc but at the moment i have only been able to alter the home page slightly with the built in wysiwyg editor which is only on the home page, can i do the changes in dreamweaver cs3 whithout causing any problems to the x-cart code.
I have read the thread 21529 on template editing guide which is good.

Thanks swift master

Re: Dreamweaver

You can use Dreamweaver to get a handle on the template table structure, but you really can't do any editing in it - need to edit the templates in the admin area or via ftp. Always make a backup first before you change anything!

Re: Dreamweaver

Is it possible to to do mods via ftp onto dreamweaver or not as i have noticed that on various blogs here people mention that they are using dreamweaver to do mods etc.
