Product Coming Soon

I would like to add an option of product coming soon. But it is pretty hard coded in that the product must be labeled as available for sale, for it to show up on the categories page.

I have customized it as much as i could to show a coming soon text, but i have to do it every time i have a coming soon product.

Sorry i need sleep if this doesn't sound proper

BCS Engineering has a pre-order/backorder mod that is pretty handy for stuff like this...
