Point of Manufacturer logo??
 

Hi, hope someone can answer this.
I've already modified my test site so this may be the problem. But when I add manufacturer logos under Admin/Manufacturers it doesn't show up anywhere and it cannot be enabled in Admin to show up....nowhere I can find anyway. 8O

I've read posts on how to modify the manufacturers list tpl to do this and probably will but as a default why have the option if it doesn't show up??
Is it just me? I can reinstall the basic skin to check but if you can answer it then please do.

Not the actual name of the site but I use the domain name for personal use.

yes are you having problems. I can see on my firewall that this ip address ??????? logged into the server shortly after I posted????

Yes as a test for a dummy product I added. All the manufacturer logos end up in this ../images/M/ directory. At the moment it's got 777 permissions on it, so I don't understand why it doesn't display the logos.

I'm pretty certain I had them displaying at one stage or another. Any ideas??

I stand corrected, I see that it's now displaying as a heading icon displaying all the manufacturer products underneath it.
Is that it's only benefit by default?

Its not to useful out of the box.

Hi thanks for the help anyway. I could've sworn it was more functional than that but I've been playing with it for almost a year now.
I'd appreciate any comments you've got on my layout it's a bit basic by comparison to yours though.

Could you do me a favour and edit your comments where my ip address and http is included for security. I've already removed your ip address.
