Bestsellers and subcategories
 

Firstly, from what I've read on the forum the bestseller should only show the most viewed from that category. However, it seems to show many products from that category - the site has only just gone online so it's impossible for all these items to have been viewed. Secondly, I added a subcategory and now in the main category it no longer shows the long list of bestselers but only the one product that is in the sub-category. Why is it only showing the one product?

It will show the most viewed or random from within the parent category and its subcategories.

If you want it to only show sold items there is a checkbox in the general settings under bestsellers to type "0" into.

Thanks. But the parent category is now only showing what is in the subcategory in the bestseller section, whereas before I added the subcategory it showed many products from the parent category.

Is your store live? What do you have in the entry box in the settings?
