Templates
For you newbies in a hurry, we have our first line of Templates for the X-CART PHP Shopping Cart System now ready at http://www.dogbytecomputer.com/Templates/
|
The question is, why is the site made with Frontpage instead of running X-Cart :?:
Just playin' with you :D |

I just got done upgrading it via clean install and they release 3.4.5 I should of known... |
I had a desire to do this a while back, but I figured that nobody would want to use the same templates, people like to have their own look. Plus, I suppose I rather enjoy creating sites from scratch for people... however, I do know people who buy templates (just got done integrating one, actually) so you might have a market here!
Keep playing with designs and keep learning... it's a full-time job in itself! ;) |
If you JUST upgraded via clean install it should be easy to apply the patch to 3.4.5.
Unless you have altered PHP code, the upgrades are usually quite painless. |
Your right adpboss, normally they are painless, but I had to do the fresh install because the 3.3.8-3.4.4 kit wouldn't work for me and there were way too many changes to attempt a manual upgrade. I guess most of all I just found it ironic that while I was upgrading X-Cart upgraded.

Yeah x-cart templates are a good idea. We've got a few under dev, but MM's been our priority lately so they'll have to wait until another day.
Got to be careful what's changed in the templates though. I learned that the hardway by installing the 2 column one only to discover the 3 column one was more complete smarty logic wise 8O |
