Skin Restoration
 

Hello all,

I was working on skinning xcart on a test server before moving it onto the actual server it will be used on. After I installed X-cart onto the new server from scratch, I then imported the sql dump from the development server onto the new server overwriting everything. I then changed the blowfish code in config.php so it would decrypt the database entrys ok.

All is fine, except it was using the 2 columb 'blue' standard skin1 template. I copied the skin1 folder from the test server, and overwrote the skin1 folder on the new server and nothing happens? When I go through the Admin panel on the new server, and take a look a the template section - my templates are actually all there but the store chooses not to use them and instead renders the store in the default 'blue' theme?

Is there something I am doing wrong, as far as I can see the default templates are now gone and replaced with my own edited files from the test server. Skin1_original folder is still there - I renamed it just incase it was reverting back to it to serve the files but this wasn't the case!

Any help would be appreciated on this

If you are using 4.1.x, you should go into your Summary/Tools menu and use the 'clear template cache' option - your old skin is most likely cached.
