1 column / 1 row products results
 

Hey guys,

I want to display the results in 1 column or 1 row. Is the same thing.

I know that in the apperance menu I can chose 1, but when I do that,
the products are centered :

................................................Title.................................................
.................................................pic.................................................
...............................................price.................................................. ..

The above looks weird and theres too much space on the left and right.
I want it to look like this:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pic .................................................. ..TTitle..................................... buy button
.................................................short description.............................................
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How and where can i do this? Thanks

Which page are you looking for the display results to be displayed on? All will use either the products.tpl or the products_t.tpl which can be modified to allow for complete reworking.

I will like to display the results in the 1 row manner in

1. When customers do a search and hit submit (search results)

and

2. When customers are looking at the products under one category

Those are the only pages I think that will display the results anyways.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, whats the difference between products.tpl and the products_t.tp ?

The difference is that products.tpl displays products in a straight down listing and the products_t.tpl uses multicolum boxes to display products. both can be competely modified to look and function as you need.

The search and category function returns results using one of those two templates.

You should start with using the Webmaster Mode provided and find the correct template(.tpl file) and edit the layout for your taste. You can also choose in the Apppearance Section under Displaying products of the General Settings which format you want to use.
