modification advice needed
 

I am looking at removing the monthly specials (featured products) from the center of the subcats pages due to having the mod in the right hand column and replacing with the newproducts mod...anyone give advice on how i can do this?

P.S. Templates and what to look for are helpful...thanks

I'm not sure that I'm understand you right therefore I'll recommend you how to get rid "Monthly Specials".

/skin1/customer/main/subcategories.tpl (categories pages, cat is not equal 0)
/skin1/customer/main/welcome.tpl (main page, cat=0)

Please specify what you want to insert at this area instead of featured products?

what i am looking for is a way to keep my monthly specials on the right column uniform for all departments, then in the center have like i dunno featured items from departments, or something like that, I guess what i want to do is modify the cart so that monthly specials are in that right column, and pulling from the monthly specials department, then use that middle area for featured products, maybe some flash movies or whatever i decide...is there a mod out there maybe for sell that could do such a thing?
