Categories.tpl and Product List
 

I would like to see if it is possible to have this format in the sidebar using the categories.tpl template:

Category Name (direct link to category)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)

Category Name (direct link to category)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)

Category Name (direct link to category)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)
- Product Name (direct link to product)

It would be ideal to make it dynamic so that the products would only list if you are in the selected category. I know this is possible with the help of a mod to show sub-cats but I do not need subcategories. I just need to show the main category with a list of it's products under it. The benefit would be that when someone is looking at a product in that category, they can select from a list quickly in the sidebar to go directly to another product in that category.

Great. Thank you very much for the response and the link. I updated my signature with the version of X-Cart I am currently using. For a quick reference it is: Xcart gold v 4.1.8. Thanks again for any help.
