800x600 view not looking like the 1024X768
When in 800x600 mode all of my top header gets jumbled up with my right side, can anyone tell me how to make them look comparable?

Well, what size did you code the site to?

Re: 800x600 view not looking like the 1024X768
It's a 100% fluid layout.
It looks like the <div class="HeadText">Call us...</div> needs sorting with the CSS. |

balinor,
I am sorry if I am offending you in anyway. Some of us here are newbies and need guidance. I am used to working with dreamweaver and xoops. X catr is a new beast for me. So your replies seem a little short. I am using a template from 7dana the ferari one to be exact. I am trying to get advice on how to do a few things is all. |

You aren't offending me at all, and my replies aren't meant to be short, they are just meant to be quick and to the point :) I answer hundreds of posts each week, don't have time to waste is all and I just wanted to know what size you had the site set to.

Hi toolexperts,
Yeah hardly anyone takes offense here, people otherwise would simply not respond - so don't worry. Sometimes it helps to provide as much info as possible. This will aid in more people being able to figure your problem and a quicker response. Regards, Doms |

If I was annoyed by newbies, I definitely wouldn't be a moderator of this forum! :)

Re: 800x600 view not looking like the 1024X768
I am using a template from 7dana, trying to modify it to our companies needs.. I am familiar with html and some css
the core things I am having issues with is changing the product or main page layouts, the phone numbers at the top ( i need them to be in the center possibly aligned bottom, but in 800x600 it shoots them into the empty cart area) and lastly area with my speed bar and search bar i need them on one bar, i accomplished this in 1024x768 yet had to change it back because in 800x600 it made them look all cluttered. I have had issues since day one, was using a reseller that charged the company over 1499 for setup and fes plus 299 a month then had to fight to get our license. Thank God tomorrow is friday |

Replies are often short here because they are results oriented and long posts waste valuable minutes (or seconds) :)

Re: 800x600 view not looking like the 1024X768
Friday? Not sure around here that means anything any more - especially to clients. They think we're robots as far as they're concerned ;D
Anyways, regarding your issue... The DIV below was the one that was causing difficulties for you. <div class="HeadText">Call us...</div> Perhaps refine the CSS using a combo of floats/padding/margin or add another TD with the "Call us..." in it. As there is only the one TR (table row) and shouldn't affect the table layout - unless another TR gets called when logging in, possibly. Make sure to back up. |
