Recommendations for SEO Friendly links for static pages and Manufacturer pages

Hi guys. Ive had CDSEO installed and am pleased with it so far other than it only covers the page names for product and category.

I have a need to also have html pages for static pages and manufacturers pages.

What do you think I should do?

Should I publish the standard html catalogue, or will this duplicate and cause a problem with the search engines (it doesn't look like I can only publish the static pages but have to publish the product and the category pages at the same time with this option)

or should I look for an additional mod product to cover both the static pages and the manufacturer's pages too?

many thanks in advance

No, whatever you do don't run the html catalog. It is probably blocked off in your robots file, but duplicate content causing blacklisting is indeed a problem.

Just goto their site, and you will see add on mods for using CDSEO with these pages:

Yea, if you are going to run the CDSEO mod, you need all three parts of the mod.

Thanks guys. When I planned my upgrade I didnt realise there were a couple of other mods required to do the full job.

Ive been using the html catalogue up until the install of the CDSEO. Would you suggest I delete the catalogue file then? Is that the best way to get rid of the duplication?

Thanks

Yes, delete it now you have CDSEO installed.
Check to see if your robots.txt is also blocking spiders from finding the catalog too.
You can also use some 301 redirects in your htaccess file to send anyone who finds an old html catalog link in the search engines to your new pages.
