options made "sticky"???
I have several thousand products which are available each in 4 flavors. I need to force the customer to choose a flavor for all the items that they order. 99.9% of the customers will want all items in the same flavor. i am trying to figure out the best way to do this. I can have 4 categories with all of the items in each category (with the different flavors)but I need to know which option was chosen for each item. I prefer to not make 4 versions of each product with different skus but will do it this way if nothing else works. i need to be notified in the e-mail what flavor the customer wants so i need to either have different skus and put the different flavors in different categories or do it with options. i have added an option which the user can select but it is an extra annoying step to choose the option for each product as the customer will invariably want the same option for all products. is there some way to make the default option stick so that once it is chosen, it is the default for the next product detail view?

Re: options made "sticky"???
I would imagine you would use an xcart session variable...unfortunately, I'm not the one to tell you how, I've only seen them used. it is a next step perhaps...

Re: options made "sticky"???
thanks. i'll check that out if i keep xcart. i am a little tired of trying to find everything in xcart and am probably moving to a better organized system.
