This is a gift w/message
 

Hello,
I searched but could not find a good answer. Is there a way to have them check off this is a gift in the shopping cart and put a space for a gift message?

Not by default, no. One of the things that is sadly lacking, with no third party mods as of yet. What we usually do is either create a 'hidden' product which is a gift wrap product with an option for a gift message and hard-code a link in the cart that says 'Add gift wrap/message, click here'.

in regards to the gift message- the customer has the option to send a message with the gift when ordering through the website. the problem is that when we go to process the order, we can not see what the gift message says. does anyone else have this problem or use this feature? can you please tell me how to fix this? t

that's great but what i'm saying is that our page already has the option to write a gift message. the problem is that we (the retailer) can not see the gift message when we go to process the order through x-cart. it's like it only works half way and i don't understand. how can i see what the customer wants to write on the gift message when we process the order? should be simple.
