United States Drop down menu for "States"
Going through and tweaking a few things on my cart and realized I dont have a drop down menu for my states box, the customer has to manually type in their state if they live in the United States.
How do I make it so when a customer selects United States they have a drop down menu to choose their state. Do I have to manually add each of the 50 states? |
Re: United States Drop down menu for "States"
If you used the US version when you installed, it should have added them all. If not, you'll need to run this file in the sql folder:
states_US.sql |
Re: United States Drop down menu for "States"
I am working on a site that the client would like to have a state drop down box added to the product detailed description page for products. ( its a long story)
I have added an option field to the pages for state that the customer can manually add the state but I am looking for a solution that is similar to the one that one would see when you check out. Is there a way I can add a state chooser to this option field? As always any help thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott V fotodog13 4.18 pro 4.1.1 gold Apache |

Just create a modifier, not a text box.

Re: United States Drop down menu for "States"
Thanks Balinor
I did just that. I guess I was getting kinda of lazy working on this site. I was hoping to find a script that I could just paste into the filed rather than have to type in 50 states, but it was probably quicker ,easier and simpler just typing in the states as options Thanks Again Best Scott V fotodog13 |

Yea, that script was for a database entry so it wouldn't have worked for a product option
