5px wide drop shadow image background to L & R
 

Hi again, been a while since i have posted but really need help in adding a drop shadow to the left and right of my store. How do i go about doing this? Do i add a thin column to the left and right and add an image background or???

Say i change the bg colour of the site, the content and head areas also change too. How would i just make the background change?

Hi, I have removed the link to the site you posted, as my client is pretty anal about her stats :) Thanks for the compliments though!

The easiest way to achieve a drop-shadow on the outside edges of the site is to create a container <div> the whole width of the site, and set a background image tiling vertically.

Would i do this in rectangle_top.tpl?

Also, could you possibly tell me where i would post the code? Would it be at the top?

Could you possibly post the code i would need to add? TBH im not used to DIV tags and their affects.

Rectangle_top.tpl will create a drop-shadow around the whole site, yes. If you want to exclude the header though, you'll need to place it after that. If you are more comfortable with tables, you can also use a single table cell as a wrapper and use a background image in that.
