Aligning prices in multi column format
Hello,
How can I align the prices of the multi column format in my product list? Different thumbnail sizes is causing problems with this kind of structure. What are the common solution to this? I'm thinking to have a big room for image and have the prices at a predefined level. Something like what newegg does. |
Re: Aligning prices in multi column format
It's a common problem, and failing to solve it can leave your site looking amatuerish.
A typical solution is to make all your thumbnails the same ratio - you can do this by adding whitespace to the sides, so they are all the same height. |
Re: Aligning prices in multi column format
Thanks for the reply, Paul.
Appending white spaces to the images to make the ratio the same would be a good solution for us. However, I couldn't find any software to manipulate the image as you described. Please shed some light to the implementations detail. :D |

That doesn't scale though?

Re: Aligning prices in multi column format
?? You use the 'Canvas Size' command to fill either the height or width with extra space.

Thanks for the reply Balinor.
Sorry for not being clear. I was talking about batch processing the image files, say 500-600 files. |
Re: Aligning prices in multi column format
For Batch processing images I use something called IrfanView - but don't take this as confirmation it does exactly what you need here.

Re: Aligning prices in multi column format
You can create batches in Photoshop, but all of the images need to be the same proportion to start or it will have unexpected results.
