is there a manual for template editing only?
 

XCART is a little different than we are used to working with. I am unfamiliar with smart. I seem to be having trouble with simple things such as, i asked what i have to do to insert and image in the homepage, and i received various responses that still dont tell me anything.

What do I have to learn to be able to edit the .tpl files? I look at them, and have no idea what to do with them, yet I know html inside out.

Can someone give me hand and tell me what what this code is, how to edit it, and if there are simple manuals i can buy that break down template formation and creation in xcart?

hi Mlande,

what sort of responses did you get? i am like you in that i am beginning, find the official manuals useless and simply don't know where to begin. i previously thought of myself as bright!
