What to edit php files with?

What does everyone use to edit their .php files with?

I have FrontPage 2002 here, but I am afraid of all the extra code it will add to the pages.

Are these maybe pages that can be editted in Wordpad with ease? I am not a coder, so I need something very easy to use.

Thanks.

A good tool that I use for PHP is Ultraedit (www.ultraedit.com) - good code highlighting and lot sof other tools.

Very handy for smarty template editing aswell :)

perl ed too works nicely, it's meant for perl but works nicely with php.

still stand by ultraedit even tho i'm not on commission with them :)

there is a smarty sytax higlighter with it aswell that helps with xcart no end. Great for editing php, but for quick and dirty code generation then DWMX does still rock even though it creates persistent dbase connections which is a little unecessary.
