replace xcart logo
 

Hi,
like to know if i can replace the xcart logo with one that strechesfrom end to end ,already designed the logo just need to place it .
the logo was used on another site that we have and it has links on it,will the links work?or that's a whole diferent issue?
i read some threads on the this but i am confused,can someone help/

checkout your head.tpl in the skin1 directory.

and where do i change the size? is it in the css file?

yes just upload with FTP to images directory in your skin 1 folder.

I don't think you even need to change the size. It should auto size for you.

OK,
so i like to understand this,all i have to do is rename my co.logo file ;xcart_logo.gif,is that correct?
now if i like to keep both files the old and name the co logo;atm_logo.gif,do i have to enter a code for direction ? and where do i find these directions?

Ok look in your skin1 directory and find head.tpl. Find this line near the top.

<img src="{$ImagesDir}/logo.gif" alt="Affordable Imprint" />

Either change the logo.gif to whatever your file name is, and upload the new head.tpl to the skin1 directory.

or rename your file to logo.gif and upload it to the images directory in skin1 directory.

Make sure you choose replace the file when you upload and back up before you make any changes.

thanks for your reply, is this the line you're talking about ? i have to be sure cause a few times i already messed things up and xcarthad to bail me out 9of course with points).

this line says xlogo ? and is this the area that i change the sizes if needed?

That's correct. I changed the name of my file, and removed the width and height tags.

Just make sure you back up.
