category thumb won't upload completely
 

For some reason, when changing a category thumbnail, the strangest thing is happening:

When I "change icon" and browse to the file on my computer, then select it, the thumbnail I select displays correctly, until I hit save, then the bottom portion of the image is absent, the image size is correct, when I highlight it, the entire image size is there, 605 X 200, but for some reason x-cart is not saving the image correctly.

Try deleting the old icon first, saving, and then uploading the new one.

I tried that, I also checked out the graphic in several diff. programs, and the file is fine.

It's strange that the graphic shows fine, until I try to "save"

is there somewhere the icon graphics are stored that I can directly upload to?

the problem seemed to be file size. All of the new thumbs I've used have been no more than 50kb. This one was 79kb. When tinkering with the settings, exporting in a diff format, that was even larger size, less of the thumb showed. when the size was decreased, the whole thumb began to save correctly.
