How to add nice pictures to templates
Hi there
This question shows that I dont really understand what I am doing as a few of you may know :) I saw this site on the forum which has been heavily customised http://www.recycleworks.co.uk/ and looks really nice. I notice lots of sites use images really well. Question is are those images added to the template or are they like category images? Or maybe a bit of both? Am I right in thinking the home page images are added to home.tpl and then the category page has been modified to show just the images representing the categories? Thanks for the advice Vivienne |
Re: How to add nice pictures to templates
Most of the images on that site are linked within the Style Sheets rather than the templates themselves (with an exception of a few). We didn't use category images.
home.tpl - Yes, this is the main template that controls the frontend of the store. You can put images in there if you need to. Shafiq :sK |
Re: How to add nice pictures to templates
Thanks for that - really appreciate it - that makes much more sense to me, didnt think of it being in the css. that would be better for me as I have an irrational hatred of all files tpl so a once only edit approach would be great.
the site looks really good - not at all standard and very effective. I so want to buy a worm farm now.... Vivienne |
