DSEFU module not working

Hi all,

I've a client having some problems with the DSEFU mod. Basically the mod is installed but none of the site links are using the .html style links.

Can anyone offer any advice on this please?

Perhaps you should open a ticket with SafetyNetWeb?

Moving to Third Party Add-Ons

time is critical and i have advised the client to do that. My intention for posting here is to see if anyone else has a problem like this.

Please stop trolling my posts if you have nothing relevant or constructive to say, I did not find you helpful and I find you very antagnonising!

it is also worth mentioning if you have the HTML link this works... but the navigation and other links to the site persist with the php link extensions.

Trolling your posts? I was simply asking you if you had opened a ticket, I was not trying to antagonize you. Lighten up. And trust me, I have better things to do with my time than 'troll your posts'.

The most common issues with DSEFU not working are:

1. Code not added to auth.php
2. Mod_rewrite not present on the server
3. DSEFU directory not set to 777 permissions
4. Installation script not completed successfully

Now, if you prefer that I not assist you further with this, I'll be glad to go 'troll' somewhere else.

Ok so please offer that post as above initially and not the unhelpful "did you open a ticket".

I will check this now.

Re: DSEFU module not working

code in auth.php

Code:

require_once('DSEFU.php');

DSEFU folder = 0777 (world)
Server is Apache 2.2.6 Custom with mod-rewrite engine globally enabled.

Installation script? where is this exactly? client does not have the original files as it was completed by a third-party.

Any further suggestions on how to re-install the mod?

Cheers in advance.

Mark

Mark,

If I buy a commercial product, 1st line of support is always the developer. Yeah, there are some smart guys here in the forum, but none of us can expect non-paid, volunteer (friends) to do what professional support should be doing.

IN your case, you should be dealing with SafetyNetWeb. Anything you get from the forum is a bonus.

You've been around the forum long enough to know that Padraic goes way beyond the role of moderator, and should not be spoken to like that... You owe him an apology. This is a professional forum for big kids. There is no place for snapping at someone, no matter what they said -- and in your case, yes, it was an obvious, "have you opened a support ticket with the developer..." which to me is the best way to proceed.

You will never know the number of emails I have with developers for my site -- these emails will NEVER make the forum -- it's their business, and private tech support realy doesn't belong ina public forum. There are too many users with DSEFU that are very happy, so the issue is unique to you, and should be dealt with by SafetyNetWeb.

Have a good day.

I owe no apology at all to anyone. Yes we are speaking to SafteyNetWeb and yes I did come here to ask the advice of potentially other DSEFU users.

If people cannot offr any helpful advice I'd rather they did not respond to the thread.

Mark, as this is a 3rd party issue, I am going to lock the thread and you should get support from SafteyNetWeb.
