Login Gone
 

Well I was editing some code yesterday and removed the login option off the page, thinking it was just for customers, but now when i went to load my admin login its gone there too... so yeah i really messed it up. Anyone know what file I will need to reupload and overwright to make that part of the page back to default. the page is as http://www.image-reflections.com/xcart (site is liveish.. so carefully if you click order on anything) My install was from x-cart-4.1.8gold.tgz

Define 'remove'....did you delete the template? Removing it from teh customer template should not have affected the admin side. Or did you delete the auth.tpl/authbox.tpl pair?

i'm not sure the name of the one i edited but its the one with the login box i edited the code and removed all but the view cart box i was in web master mode whiel editing

Use http://image-reflections.com/xcart/admin/insecure_login.php URL to log in as administrator.

Really need to know which one you edited :) Don't suppose you made a backup first? For future reference, you never want to delete code, just comment it out, at least until you are sure there are no adverse affects from what you edited.

Try re-uploading skin1/auth.tpl and skin1/authbox.tpl from your skin1_original directory. If you want to remove them from the customer side, open up skin1/customer/home.tpl and comment out the includes for them. Guide to editing here:

I have a similar problem but all i did was delet what i thought was a customer login details but i turned out to be mine now i dont know how to re-establish my login details.
what do i have to do help please.

for something as simple as re-establishing login details i am surprised that the Qali team done't have an easy sistem in place to do this.
