The mods are free, why not use them? Go to bcsengineering.com and search for META

Need to add a verification tag for Google Webmaster tools and none of the FREE mods that I see from BCS can add a META with any information that I want.

Oh, you should have said that to begin with :) Just add it to the head tag on skin1/customer/home.tpl
