Contact form 'Antibot' error
Hi all,
I have a standard contact form set up which is giving an odd error when I press submit. The error is "The characters you typed do not match the characters in the picture. Please try again." Searching through the messages I've found the one responsible - it is a 'Captcha' Anti-bot error message set up as 'msg_err_antibot'. For some reason, even though we don't have a Captcha on the contact form, X-Cart still thinks there is one present and sending the email fails. I searched the templates for a mention of the antibot variable but I can't find anything. Would anyone have any idea whereabouts it might reside? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Dan |
Re: Contact form 'Antibot' error
should be in modules/image_verification

Thanks Inebriate. I didn't realise that it was living in the Modules instead of the templates.

Re: Contact form 'Antibot' error
If my memory isn't failing me in my old(er) age, I remember a captcha bug in 4.1.6 -- could this be related?

Re: Contact form 'Antibot' error
Yes, there was an bug in 4.1.6, once you enabled captcha it was all or nothing, either you used it on all of your forms or you got an error from forms without the image. It may still applies, I simply enabled captcha on all forms so it didn't bother me any more. I'm about to install 4.1.8 and see if it was fixed.
