finding the code for cart template
Hi,
I can not find where or how to change the tempate for the cart or check out page. When I enter my cart page and template page, it only has the head.tpl and the bottom include tpls . I am trying to fit the cart and checkout pages into my regular layout that is being used for the rest of the site. Where can I modify these pages so i do not have to have them show with only the head and footer tpls (which are default) ? |
Re: finding the code for cart template
Did you try using WEBMASTER MODE to see what templates are involved?
Based on your descripton, it sounds like /skin1/modules/Fast_Lane_Checkout/home.tpl may be a good place to look... But don't trust my guess... use WEBMASTER MODE to be sure. |
Re: finding the code for cart template
as far as the shopping cart page, I seee if cart is empty, then it is wrapped in the normal template. But if you do have products come, it then shows a differnet template. Do you know where this coding is located?
Thanks |

If you use Webmaster mode, it will tell you. Did you turn on webmaster mode and open a customer page? |
Re: finding the code for cart template
yup I tried to use webmaster mode. Actually when I enter webmaster mode it ruins the coding for the cart page, even after I turn off webmaster mode, my cart then has errors on it. I had to replace 3 files that I had backed up in order for it to return to the current status. I e-mailed tech support about the issue already.
now I can see how /skin1/modules/Fast_Lane_Checkout/home.tpl allows me to control the content of the page / (layout etc).' But for cart, there is only cart.tpl. I can not find how to place the cart templates into the normal template I have for rest of site. |
