Suggestions needed to change text on home page
Our site, http://www.aquadesign.com/home.php , has a welcome.jpg image with text at the bottom. Our SEO consultant suggests we make this text searchable by removing it from the jpeg and placing it in the code in the exact same location. The reason I originally used it in the image was for enhanced keyword density but that's another topic altogether. It's her opinion that we need this explaination of our products as searchable content.
The text should be exactly as it appears now. I know how to alter the jpg and reduce the size of the image in the code. What I don't know is [1] where to place the text, [2] how to align it to match the existing jpg version, [3] how to use the same font size and style like "Username" and "Password" in the bar above welcome.jpg. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, |
Re: Suggestions needed to change text on home page
It isn't opinion, it is fact. Search engines can't read text that isn't text :) Text in an image is useless for SEO as nothing can read it except a human. You should always keep text as text and not put it in images.
The image code should should be either in customer/main/welcome.tpl, or in the language variable itself txt_welcome. |
