couple of questions for the gurus
 

hello everyone!
im new to x-cart and had a couple of questions..

1.
how can I change my "featured product" to what buy.com has on their home page?
http://www.buy.com/
with the 5 featured items that automatically scroll to the nect product
(its flash but I know theres a way to do it in java)


2.
is it possible to place only a certain amount of categories on the main page then a drop-down menu with ALL categories within?

I appreciate any and all help

Hi mixshows, welcome to X-Cart!

1. This is going to require custom coding, not something that can easily be posted in the forums.

2. You could do this by using the POS value for categories. You'd need to write some code to only show categories that meet a certain POS value. Again, going to take some custom coding.
