I need help on adding embedded pages.

I am currently running version 3.4.1 and I am having extreme difficulty in using the new Static HTML feature. It allows you to add root pages and embedded pages. I chose to do the embedded page since this will add a new section under the help section. My goal is to add a shipping policy. I clicked add embedded page and titled it. That work fine and it appears in the help section. When I actually click on the newly added "Shipping Policy" I get File wasn't found. The problem is that no matter what HTML I type in the page content, all I get is file wasn't found. What am I doing wrong?
I am learning at an excellerated pace, but I am still new to this, so please explain in laymans terms.

Have you resolved this issue? I am having a tough time figuring out this error.

This section allows the administrator of the store creating his own HTML pages in X-Cart directory.

There are two types of static pages: Embedded; Root.

The Embedded pages are built in X-Cart design and they are displayed in the information column (the central column in the three-column templates scheme).

The Embedded pages links are added to the menu box 'Help', but the order of the links can be changed. These pages can be hidden temporarily by 'Disabled' status. The Embedded pages code mustn't contain such tags as:<HTML>, <HEAD>, <BODY>.

The Root pages are located at the end of X-Cart directory ( for example, index.html). The Root pages don't depend on the rest of X-Cart pages and they must be full HTML-files (with tags such as:<HTML>...</HTML

I E-mailed my problem to X-cart and it was actually a problem with the X-cart software. They fixed it. It was caused by wrong permissions on the '<xcart-dir>/skin1' directory.

can you tell me what to change?

I can't add embedded page, I get the page listed but it says page not found in body part.

look were your pages are going and give the dir write permisions
