Transparent css??
I've been asked to redesign a client's website and as part of the plan was trying to get the menu backgrounds transparent so that the whole page background will show through.
Is this at all possible and is also compatible with all browsers? Thanks for any guidance, beetlejuice |

Bump anyone?

Re: Transparent css??
Just remove the background-color: class from the menu style.

Re: Transparent css??
If you mean semi-transparent - that is really hard to get cross-browser compatible.
If you mean totally transparent - is the user going to be able to read the menu items over the page background? Clients get weird ideas sometimes that can really affect usability. |
Re: Transparent css??
Thanks Balinor I'll give that a go.
And LittleLizard you are spot on, but to a certain extent we are at the client's whims until we can prove otherwise and this might just be one of those ocassions.:-) |

Yep - I've got plenty of experience with those pesky client whims! Good luck! |
