Using variables inside a description box
 

I'm in the process of adding a new product to my store.
I'm trying to use a variable, $product.price, instead of actual price value in one of my product description boxes.
I want it to say: "Sales price $1000, free shipping, etc..", but instead of typing $1000, I want to use the price variable, so when I actually change the price down the road, I don't have to go back and change it in the description box manually.
How do I do that?
