Editing Main Page with Fashion Mosaic Skin
 

I am new to x-cart. I have version 4.1.7 with fashion mosaic skin.

I have been working on editing the main image, but how would I add text to the area just beneath this image, so that it is between the image and the featured products, once i add those?

Hi Disaplineme,

It is the same as editing with any other skin (including original one) - there are a few extra lines of code in the Fashion skin (but basically is the same idea - so search for editing mainpage text etc. in the forum).

But to make things easier for you...
I suggest first adding the text into a language tag (choose languages in Admin - then "add new language tag"- e.g. add "txt_mainpage" so that it will remain multi-lingual if you ever go that way.

Then you just place "{{txt_mainpage}}" (without the quotes) inside the template, in the location where you want that text to appear (probably just after where the photo is called.

PS: make a copy of the template first - that way if you forget what you have changed / played with, you can load that back again and nothing is lost.
