How to dispaly the first 4 and the last 4 digits of a C C #
 

In the cart.php,
upon check out
we display the credit card the customer used the last time, "for certain reasons"

so right now we display the whole number,
but we got some complains from customers,
so i need to display only the first 4 and the last 4 digits ...

so as i remember
we decrypt the credit card number first
let say $ccn = 1111222233334444
but how can i display it as 1111 ... 4444
is there a smarty comand to do this ??/

Did you ever find out how to do this ? I am needing the same thing but I can not find any info in the forum on this subject and it seems like no one has answered your question either.

even just the last 4 numbers.... this should be standard in the cart, in my opinion.
