Different Background Colour for Categories

I wish to change the background colour for categories
When I change the VertMenuBox css all the left hand side boxes change
Is there a way to change only one box (that is categories) and the others (help/bestsellers etc) stay the original colour

You would need to create another menu.tpl (call it menu_categories.tpl) and create different styles for it (VertMenuTitleCat, VertMenuBoxCat, etc). Then open up customer/categories.tpl and change the call from menu.tpl to menu_categories.tpl.
