Category? field similar to Newegg
Hi guys.
I was wondering if there's a mod ? or way to display categories into more grouped lists. Ex: 1. People click on "Memory" category. 2. Now, on the left menu, it will display new categories like: Desktop Memory, Laptop memory, mac memory, server memory etc.. 3. Once people click on those category, there will be a new one like : Manufacturer, price groupd, etc.. Here is the example link: http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=147&name=Desktop-Memory I'm sorry if I don't make sense, but if you can take a look at the Computer memory section at Newegg's site, you will see that the left menu will change as I described... |
Re: Category? field similar to Newegg
Just an added note, but I guess what I am talking about is a sub category?

Re: Category? field similar to Newegg
NewEgg.com does this by some nifty search engine parameters -- not static subcats. (I'm a newegg customer and I like the search -- makes shopping easy).
You could try to approximate it, but you will go insane with subcats... Just thinking out loud: pre-defined searches? |
