Static Pages that aren't 'Help'ful
Greetings All,
I'm a newbie and appreciate all the information stored in your collective minds. I've waded through the forums and haven't seen this specifically. I want to add Static Pages, but I don't want them to go to Help. I want to add them to 'Specials' (to be renamed). I know this can be done -- X-Cart lets you do anything . I just haven't found the instructions yet. From what I've read, am I going to have to do this manually for each new page to foil the automatic loading of new Static pages to the Help Zone? Thank you in advance. Beth |
Re: Static Pages that aren't 'Help'ful
All,
I did find the post on static pages for 900 posts or less. I will admit my ignorance here. I can see how it counts, sorts pages into the buckets, but how does it add the stinkin' page to one menu or the other? That's what I want to know. I am not an x-cart pro, truly. Is there a 'Special' template I need to know about? Thanks for your 'Help.' |
Re: Static Pages that aren't 'Help'ful
Open up help.tpl and remove this:
{include file="pages_menu.tpl"} Add it to customer/special.tpl Done :) |
Re: Static Pages that aren't 'Help'ful
Thank you. I looked at this -- this will move ALL non-business pages, yes? Let me complicate things. Suppose now, I want some pages in Help and some pages in Special? Is there an automatic way? Is there a way to label them - like the pages_menu?
[Specifically, I have FAQs (static), Privacy (business) & Ethics (Static) in Help/Customer Support. The About (Static) and Info (Static) I want to put under Special/Resources.] BTW, your posts rock! I've learned tremendously from them. |
