I need to change the banner with the BMW in it. I changed the logo in head.tpl but i cannot find the bmw pic file in any coding. Any help would be great before I go insane. Please dont comment if you are going to tell me to search or read the manual, I already have.

Open up the site in Webmaster Mode. This tool will tell you exactly which template is which, and then you can open the template and edit the code.

All that did was make the text green, I need to know where the main_bg_1.jpg is coded. What Is the best way to find that(if there is)?

Did you get a little pop-up box with the names of all the templates? If not, turn off your pop-up blocker and turn on the debug console in General settings. This tool will tell you exactly which template contains the image you are talking about.
