Login form on a separate page (file not found?)
I need to have my login form on a separate page. I found in the manual that I should tick " Use secure login form on a separate page (HTTPS):". I did that, refreshed my x-cart page, and clicked the 'Secure Login' button. However, it then said 'Error 404: File Not Found'. How should I fix it?
The address for the testing site is http://www.mastersmarketing.com/medicines/home.php Thank you very much in advance! |
Re: Login form on a separate page (file not found?)
The clue is in the HTTPS bit - this assumes you have an SSL certificate installed - doesn't look like you do. You need to have a security certificate to use a secure login page.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply!
Then I'm wondering is there any other ways to have our Login form on a separate page then? If not, how should I obtain a security certificate? Thanks and regards |
Re: Login form on a separate page (file not found?)
Well you really should use an SSL cert if you are serious about your store and your customer's security - even if you use a 3rd party company to process payments. Plenty of posts in the forum about this. Getting an SSL cert will solve this problem in an instant. You can get budget "turbo" ones from Godaddy for about $20, or pay a bit more for something a bit more recognisable like a Comodo one. Basically you need to find a company to sell you a certificate - maybe even your own hosting company.
