"You Save %" in shopping cart total
Something i've noticed on other pro shops, if they are focused on offering a discounted price over competitors, they'll include a "You save 45%" (for example), after the total value in the shopping cart is calculated if the products your going to buy are discounted over a regular retail price.
Since X-Cart is able to have a 'slashed' price, it would be great to re-enforce that discount and saving in the shopping cart total so customers can really get a good perspective on why they should shop with you over a competitor. I'm no expert in php but i figure that information would already be in the database, so it would be a matter of adding some code that can calculate a percentage total, depending on what's in the cart and whether those products have a discounted price included in their options? Does that make sense to those who are able to write code for x-cart? Anyone got any ideas? I would love to add this to the store i'm building if it would be possible. I'm really only interested in the proper shopping cart page before checkout but i guess if it's easy to add to the mini-cart, that would be cool too! Cheers. |

Moving to Template Editing, you'll get more response here than in the Wish List forum.
