Modification Question
 

I have a few questions concerning the modifications found in the forums.

1: When applying the modifications to the templates, does this change any of the infrmation stored in the database.

2: While making changes to the templates, is there a way to restore the store to the original installation before any mods were done with out changing items in the database.

1. Not unless there is an SQL component to the mod

2. Use the 'restore' button at the bottom of the template edit screen.

Thank you Balinor for your quick responce.

The only problem is that I changed the templates with my ftp client and note pad.

When installing xcart I noticed that there was a box that could be clicked to reinstall the skin files and not reinstall the database. Does that work.

If you reinstall the skin, it overwrites EVERY template. It doesn't matter where you edited the templte, the restore button will still restore the template from the skin1_original folder.
