WYSIWYG editor not appearing in Static Page editing
 

Hi all,

Probably a dumb question, but....

When using the demo version of X-Cart, I was able to edit the embedded static pages using an inbuilt wysiwyg editor.

However, after purchasing X-Cart, this option to use the wysiwyg editor is not available. Do I have to enable this somehow?

There is no WYSIWYG editor in your version of X-Cart, only the 4.1 branch.

Ahhh, yep, I just noticed I've got version 4.0 - but this was only just recently purchased. Do I have to apply for an upgrade, or something? I notice that in the admin is a "patch/upgrade" option - do I use this to get 4.1?

Yes, you would need to upgrade. It isn't that easy though, as the two versions are completely different. You would need to download an upgrade kit from your help desk area and go through the upgrade process. FYI, I don't recommend upgrading to the 4.1 branch yet, as it is not yet stable. If you REALLY need a feature in 4.1, you could do it, but if it is just for the WYSIWYG editor, I'd hold off a bit.
