how to change category headers to images?
 

I know when I did the last x-cart set up I did this...and can't remember for the life of me how I did it. And I know the thread on how is in here somewhere..but after about 2 hours of looking...I'm at a loss.

I want to use an image instead of the header box above each of the sideboxes in my store. I remember something about creating a new .tpl file and what not...but ??? Again...at a loss.

If anyone can explain how I would go about doing this...or at least point me to the thread that has the step by step on this..I would be TOTALLY grateful. :)

Each sidebox there is controlled by the menu.tpl template. You need to edit the table and cells that hold the {$menu_title} and replace them with tables/cells and your own image. It is basically html editing - so if you can use a decent html editor, it will help.
If you want one for each menu, then you should duplicate this menu template, to menu_help.tpl or whatever, and replace the call to menu.tpl in each template, e.g. help.tpl

actually I found this link again which is how I've done it with 2 stores actually...but for SOME reason...I can't get my images to show up? Any suggestions?? I can see the code for the image...but no image. ?

so i've double checked everything I can possibly think of. Linked to an image at a hosting site....different directories in my site...everything. NOTHING will allow the image to show up??? HELP! :)

OOO...figured it out! woo hoo. In case anyone else needs help with it....you have to use the <img src="image url.gif">
