Registration problems!
 

I have this problem with my store (v4.1.6)

On the normal registration page (ie direct link from homepage), credit card fields are not required, hence do not show the red asterisk next to the details
BUT
When an anonymous user tries to checkout, they must register. When they click register, they see red asterisks next to the cc information even though it's not required!

Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the red asterisks from the checkout registration page???

You shouldn't have credit card information tied to the user profile. Check this box in general settings:

Do not ask customers to enter CC information while getting registered:
