Re-locating dialog.tpl

I am having an issue with the dialog.tpl. My site is a graphics nightmare. Is dialog.tpl wrapping the content?

It seems to be were things like category titles, product tiles etc. are displayed. Am I right?

What are the rules for manipulating this?

dialog.tpl wraps the middle content, while menu.tpl wraps content in the side navigations. dialog.tpl is used in admin, customer, and other sections, so modify it accordingly, other than that, make sure you display the title and the content with it.

Ok. My problem is i need the content that it wraps to lose the picture-frame space that it creates, this beacuse my content hugs tight to the outside design. How can I move this and still keep my titles?
