Can't figure why this page looks funky in IE but not FF

The battle of the browsers 2007. I have tweaked this design where it looks fine in FireFox but in IE the main area is shifted to the left. Any ideas on what I need to tweak?

Does anyone read these?

in short, IE does not follow CSS standards

by the way, your footer is out of place

Hmm, ok. But IE follows standard HTML. The templates are sets of tables. If they are all aligned in the same fashion then there shouldn't be that bulge to the left.

When you say the 'footer', there's no 'footer.tpl' file in the /customer or main area. What are you referring to?

Thanks for your post.

IE actually doesn't follow standard html very well either, it is pretty much the least standard compliant browser out there. You are using some depreciated code in your tables. Remove the align="right" in the tables, that always screws things up in both IE and Firefox.

And lose the music on the flash...really didn't need that blasting in my ear, and most customers won't either.

lol... hi Balinor. The music isn't my choice either. This is for a client and they have this screwy template they want me to adapt to the cart.

In regards to the table alignments, when I left them alone it looked even worse. I'm trying to create a fixed width centered design but it doesn't want to cooperate.

Update on this. I've gotten the main parts of the page to line up. However, the bottom and the search bars just won't cooperate when I change the width of each to coincide with the others. Therefore they jut out to the left. Ideas?
