cdseo mod
Gidday all,
I have had this mod installed in my new site, and maybe its not working properly. My category urls always have the word category in them and the product urls always have the word product in them. Is this right? e.g. http://toysetc.com.au/category/boardgames/ http://toysetc.com.au/category/boardgames/monopoly/ http://toysetc.com.au/product/boardgames/monopoly/monopoly-here-and-now-game.html N.B. My site is not finished although live I am having logo and skin design completed. Whilst that is in progress I am entering my products and categories etc. |

It's right if that's how you set it up... With CDSEO, you will establish "fake directories" for categories, as well as products. You can be creative in your naming, but don't get too creative, or the names will look like SPAM. I named my categories, /makeup-for-chic-moms/ and my products, /makeup/ You shoudl find names that are suitable to your product line. DON'T FORGET that CDSEO is not the end-all for SEO... you MUST - now, run, don't pass go, GO GET the meta-tag mods from BCSE -- ESPECIALLY the unique title meta tags... This + CDSEO and you will be in good shape. Remember, xcart is SEO hostile and you need these tools. Good luck. Jeremy |
Re: cdseo mod
Hi Colin,
As Jeremy mentioned, the subfolders are necessary, but can be named whatever you wish. If you update your current support ticket with us we will gladly rename these for you while performing the other work for you. Jon Peters |
