email address as username when new customer registers?
I am getting alot of situations where people sign up for accounts as they make a purchase, and then can't remember their usernames that they signed up with.
What I would like to do is completely remove the option of choosing a username, so they only need to choose a password. At that point I would like it to use the email address they entered in the form to default as their username. anyone have any idea if this is possible and how to do it? -JR ps - after searching i found this thread thats similar, but more 4.0.x directed than 4.1.x and is a little different. http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=8809 |

If you read the end of that thread there are solutions posted for 4.1

yeah i saw that, i was more looking for something that eliminated the username field entirely, these seem to make it so you can log in with a username or email address, which I guess works too, I would've just preferred it the other way around. |

I would also like to eliminate the option of username. Please let me know if you find a solution. Thanks.
