Skinning Issue on Rollover & Sidebox moved
 

We are skinning our x-cart for opening on Monday and we have run into some issues.

#1) The Categories used to have these rollover buttons, well we removed those to have them replaced with a rollover effect that lites up the back of the catergorie in default orange. We cannot find where to edit this so that it remains the same static color as the background box. (see screenshot)

#2) when changed the skin colors all of a sudden the two boxes on the right side (cart and authorization) popped down to the left side. We cannot figure out how to get them to go back.

Can someone please help fix these minor but seriously annoying problems?

Tough to know without seeing the code you are using for your categories menu :(

I feel soo completely stupid...

We are using one of the default x-cart skins. Can you tell me where I would find the code you need? Do you want the css or the .tpl for the category menu?

Na, don't feel stupid....not an easy system to learn :) I'm guessing you are editing customer/categories.tpl and skin1.css.

You would be guessing right. Actually... the sidebar issue was done somehow during the editing of the skin1.css and we have no idea how they moved but they did.

As for the orange glow, I dont see anything in the customer/categories.tpl that would affect that.

The orange background on rollover is fixed.

So can anyone help with why the sideboxes moved on us....

And also, can you tell me why when you change the buttons for the "continue shopping" and the "checkout" on the cart it HAS to change the categories buttons. I do NOT understand why those things are tied to each other. Any ideas how I can change those and not screw with the categories column??

Check customer/home.tpl, as that controls what boxes appear where.

As for the buttons, unfortunately by default they are ALLLLL tied together :(
