Txt_Welcome - Greet Visitor Module

Greets,

I got bored again and decided to change my site. In doing so, removed the code that calls txt_welcome...now I want it back.

In the interim, I placed what would be the general welcome in label that greets the visitor. Problem is, the general welcome can only be viewed when a customer is logged in.

So my question is, where can I locate the original code and file that calls txt_welcome?

thanks

Hey Neaisha...look in your skin1_original folder...all the original templates are in there :)

Hey balinor,

yeah, i'm doing that now. i'm trying to compare the current and the original to see if i can find the missing code.

so if anyone eventually figures out how to call txt_welcome, i will love you for ever and ever (virtually of course).

It is just this in customer/main/welcome.tpl:

{$lng.txt_welcome}

me love you long time :-)

ok, i had already replaced the code from the original welcome.tpl and that didn't solve the problem.

i think wherever i deleted the code, it had something to do with the Special Offers add-on. I didn't like that when active, it displayed text notifying customers about the offers on the home page. So I deleted it AND the general welcome.

sooooooooooo, to make things easier on myself (i hope), i put {$lng.txt_welcome} at the end of the welcome.tpl file. hopefully that solves it.

THANX!
