hover size vs. text size
 

The hover in css seems to default to the same size as the text. So if you have 12px text, you automatically get a 12px hover background size. I am trying to figure out how to get my hover background to be 25px in height when the text is only 12px. Any pointers?

I've search the forum and the web with no luck.

By the way, thanks to everybody for their help so far! Site is coming along nicely.

I usually use an 'onmouseover' event for the div that contains the link.
